About Dr. Ray E Rollins

“How did I choose medicine for a career?  When I was 12 years old I hit a tree with my sled and ruptured my spleen causing severe internal bleeding. The intern missed the diagnosis in the E.R. at the  teaching hospital [they didn’t have CT scans back then]. But the old gray balding surgeon over the intern made an excellent clinical diagnosis and saved my life. I’ve tried  my best to emulate him in my career.”

Dr. Rollins graduated from the North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth/Dallas College of Osteopathic Medicine and received his Board Certification in 1990. He and his wife Tina have been proud Sunnyvale residents for over 20 years.

Member – Hospital Medical Staff at: Baylor Scott and White at Sunnyvale and affiliated with UT Southwestern.
Member – Texas Medical Association, Dallas County Medical Society and the American Osteopathic Association.

“Your my biggest biggest inspiration.

December 19, 2018

Dear Dr. Rollins,

Your hard work going to College and becoming a successful Surgeon has inspired me to want to go to Harvard and get my Dr and be either a neurosurgeon or general surgeon.

I’ve used most of the last summer of 2018 to learn your repertory system, digestive production, nerve and arteries and more. It’s very interesting to learn about the human body and to know you will save so many lives.

I’m also so sorry for all the cross-outs and misspelling. I got nervous writing to my inspiration of my future. Also I am Madison R___ from Sunnyvale, TX. I am 9 years old.

Love,

Maddy

PS. I hope to meet you one day as I graduate from Harvard with my Dr.”
